Things We Laugh at That Might Actually Be the Best New Year’s Resolutions

We’re a few hours from 2016 and I’m seeing various posts about New Year’s resolutions. Now, whether you’re for or against resolutions, I think most would agree that there is something that we can do to make our lives different in a big or small way. Recently, I was having a conversation with my mother about how she feels I need to appreciate the things I already have in my life more, and while I understood what she meant, I felt I did appreciate everything. So, I thought further into what she said and realized that maybe my actions didn’t show that I did, which is actually important to me. Mothers know best and this post was actually inspired by the very thoughts my mom brought to me.

Now, I know I appear pretty serious, but honestly the things I have listed are things I laugh about everyday. There are times I reach into my purse expecting to find my bus pass in the small compartment….and it’s not there! Then, I’m left on the bus looking for my pass all over, probably losing out on a good seat and always close to bussing my ass. Once I find it, I normally just laugh off how I’ll put someplace better next time…but I never do. Realistically, if I actually would put my bus pass in the same place, I’ll increase my productivity…of riding the bus!!

Moving on, I’ll be sharing some things that I know will make a difference in my life (and maybe others) if I actually took them seriously. And if I do, these might be some of the best resolutions I’ve had.

  1. Taking care of the celly. Put a case on it, charge it, clear the storage…use it less. I cannot express how much money and energy has gone into my cellphone this year. It just wasn’t worth how much my hotline actually blings.
  2. Put stuff in your wallet. Or wherever you like to put your ID, cards, and etc. Ladies, can we stop throwing everything in our purses and take better care of our money and other valuables.
  3. Delete emails. It’s so sad how much my inboxes have piled up. All except one. And it feels so good to be able to sift through that one and find emails I need to revisit. I have stopped signing up for email subscriptions to things I don’t need and unsubscribing from others. Slowly but surely, I’ll completely clean up my inboxes.
  4. Put the clothes away. I can’t be the only one who has the habit of taking clothes out the dryer and thinking that laundry is done. And being that I own so many blacks garments, it’s so hard for me to get dressed quickly when I’m feeling all black that day.

I may update this later after I find myself laughing at more mishaps that I could easily fix. And if anyone has anything to add, please leave it below in the comments. =)


 

Before I go, I would really like to say thank you again to everyone that checks out my posts. After looking at my stats, I’m amazed at the numbers and I truly had no goals when I started blogging earlier this year. See you all in 2016!
